ClickPatrol + Hyros Google Ads tracking template

Use ClickPatrol for invalid-click filtering and Hyros for ad-level attribution on the same Google Ads account — without stuffing both into one field.

ClickPatrol must own the Tracking template (redirect). Hyros Search parameters belong in Final URL suffix so Google appends them to the landing page after the redirect.

How to install

  1. Open Google Ads → Admin → Account settings → Tracking.
  2. Paste the redirect into Tracking template.
  3. Paste the second string into Final URL suffix.
  4. Do not merge both into one field — Google applies them together.
  5. Replace placeholders, test, then save.

What each field does

  • Tracking template — ClickPatrol redirect. Replace [[CLICKPATROL_ID]] with your uid from ClickPatrol.
  • Final URL suffix — gc_id={campaignid}&h_ad_id={creative} for Hyros Search / Display. Do not paste the full {lpurl}&… Hyros string here.

Why not merge into one string?

ClickPatrol is a redirect tracker. If you append Hyros only inside the redirect URL, Hyros often never sees a clean landing-page query string. Split fields: redirect first, Hyros on the final URL.

Performance Max note

This recipe is for Search/Display Hyros tokens. For PMax/Shopping Hyros, use the Hyros PMax template in Final URL suffix instead (or open both in the builder).
